·         Rumi Darwaza



Built in the heart of Lucknow, the Rumi Darwaza was constructed in the year 1748. The story behind the construction of Rumi Darwaza is an interesting one, wherein the Nawab during the times of famine offered meals to his countrymen in exchange for building this magnificent structure. This 60-foot-tall structure is also called the Turkish Gate owing to its resemblance to Bab-I-Humayun Gate in Turkey.
